Museum Mixer

Nothing better than a passionate guide to introduce you to the rich cultural, artistic and historical heritage of our museums

Although different options are available to you, the tour always begins with the visit of the Museum of Aquitaine, a must-see. Delve into Bordeaux and its region’s history through the museum’s architectural treasures and historical recreations of the past.

For the Bordelaise interior section of the tour, you must choose between the Museum of Fine Arts and the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design. The first exhibits masterpieces – mainly paintings, and some sculptures, the second displays furniture and objects of 19th century bordelaise art of living/way of life.

We then set sail for The Museum of Bordeaux Maritime History or the Musée Mer Marine. While the former, exhibits private collections of objects, paintings and model ships retracing the Port of the Moon’s history, the latter displays historical objects and works of art linked to the seas’ history and science.

No better way to discover Bordeaux
We had a long walk around the city with Hela (English native speaker) who knows really everything about Bordeaux, French history & wines. A very entertaining storyteller - we are really happy to discover Bordeaux this way. We now know far more about the city than the friends who have always been living here. And the info, the booking & paying thru website & SMS were so easy. 10 points !!!
